Gentleman Jack was born in 1988 at the Jack Daniel’s distillery in Lynchberg, Tennessee. Just like Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, Gentleman Jack is charcoal mellowed before going into the barrel. Gentleman Jack, however, receives an additional ‘blessing’ as it is charcoal mellowed twice. Both before and after it has matured in oak barrels, which takes 4-6 years. GlenDronach 18 YO Allardice has been aged in Oloroso sherry casks for 18 years. It is bottled at 46% ABV and has obtained its rich natural color from the cask aging.
